They say it isn't the case, so who knows for sure. It is interesting that they select a 28 year old kid tobe come a GM. Being a GM isn't rocket science but it usually requires some real world experience.
It was interesting that Showalter expressed complete confidence in this guy.

Reportedly, Buck has Hick's ear and controls everything now.

From what I've seen so far, this is a pretty smart kid running things now. I guess he's in the Beane/Epstein/DePodesta mold?
Safe to say the AL West has just gotten a bit tougher?

Did the NL West get tougher with Paulie D?

Injuries hurt the Dodgers this year...
The Halos & A's have been successful. Texas is on the cusp, and with a guy who knows the value of statistical analysis running the show, yeah, I'd say the division got a bit tougher... Now, if only the M's got a clue :)

If the Royals wanted to bring John Hart in as a replacement for Allard Baird, I wouldn't be upset. At least we know he can draft.

I'd settle for Mary Hart.

At least you know he wouldn't sign any good pitchers. He'd just try to bring in bats to compensate for the poor pitching.
