Our boy Sammy Sosa is on pace to hit 19 HR's this year. He will be paid about $19M for his efforts. I wonder often, when evaluating players whose only or main skill is to hit the long ball, this has occurred. Obviously Giambi of 2004 is an example but he spent an extended time on the DL due to an intestinal problem and may not have recovered from it until this year.

Just a passing stray thought.
