It's great that the Sox are giving Nomar a full share. I wonder if they would do a ring for him too?

Anyway, if the Cubs had made the WS, with the Sox, I wonder if they still would have given him a share? Imagine getting two shares for the same series! That would be a record.

Make that 3/4 of a share: http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=56599

According to the Associated Press, the Red Sox voted a three-quarter World Series share to Nomar Garciaparra instead of the full share that was reported shortly after the World Series ended.

A full share went to what is believed to be a record 58 individuals, 21 more than the 2003 champion Florida Marlins [stats, schedule] awarded.

A full share was worth $223,620, meaning Garciaparra received $167,715. Garciaparra was traded on July 31, meaning he was on the team for roughly two-thirds of the regular season. . . .

According to some local wags Nomar was voted a full share, but had to face a 25% deduction because he played for the BoSox for half the year. :D
