I know the clubs are allowed to change their playoff roster between the LDS and LCS, but are they also allowed to change it between the LCS and World Series? Just wondering because, if so, the Red Sox should probably be thinking about dropping Ramiro Mendoza and replacing him with Scott Williamson. The only reason Williamson was left off the post-season rosters so far was out of worry that his elbow couldn't stand two consecutive days of use. But given Mendoza's performance and sparse usage by the Sox in the playoffs, it's pretty clear that Williamson could fill the same role and be more likely to do so effectively.

I think they can change them.
Wouldn't you rather have Youkilis as a PH in games 3, 4 and 5?

Teams can change their rosters before the World Series.

But, since Williamson had Tommy John surgery about 10 days ago, he's not going on the roster.

I'd rather have the more reliable bullpen option. Besides, Millar is available as a righty pinch hitter for those games.

I hadn't heard that. Surprised they shut him down so soon with roster spots still changeable.
