Game 7 of the 2004 World Series, if necessary, is scheduled for October 31, 2004.

Yes, it's on Halloween.

Given how much Boston Red Sox Manager Terry Francona looks like the Donald Pleasence's character of Dr. Loomis in the movie Halloween (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077651/), maybe there's something here?

In fact, what is even more interesting is that the Red Sox have a pitcher on their roster who is named Mike Myers. Wow. In Halloween, Michael Myers is the name of the masked character who is the manic killer in the movie. Coincidence?

If Boston has to play a Game 7 this year, and their Mike Myers comes in to pitch, should he wear a mask like his name sake from the movie? Baseball probably would not like it. But, given the group of 'characters' that the Sox are this year, it might be something right down their alley?

Trick or treat.

Honestly, Mr. Myers has probably heard enough jokes about his name as a kid to make one of his own.

Doesn't mean we won't see a few clever signs in the stands, though.

I just looked - Mike Myers the pitcher would have been around 9 years old when the first Halloween movie came out. I feel very old all of a sudden.
