View Full Version : Will the Royals and/or Mariners finish with less than 100 losses?

Royals have 11 games left, and have 95 losses. Will they be able to go 7-4 down the stretch?

What about the Mariners? 94 losses and 10 games to go. Need to finish 5-5 to stay above the 100 loss mark.

Can either of these teams avoid the dreaded 100 loss season? Do you think the players will be "inspired" to avoid this mark?

The D-backs have already passed the century mark for the season, other than KC & Seattle, no one has a shot at it.

I think you can safely say these two juggernauts will rack up 200+ losses for the season.

At this point, I try to think of it more in terms of trying to win a certain number of games, say 60, rather than thinking of the three digits in the loss column. These are dark times, indeed.

Meanwhile, the D'Backs have a legitimate shot at 113 losses, which would be the worst record in the NL since the '62 Mets. They are on pace to tie the '65 Mets.

I only hope the Tribe can finish above .500 and ahead of the Chi Sox. It could happen.

Ya know, speaking of the ChiSox, I feel no animosity towards any AL Central rival exCEPT the Sox. Ever since the Gamboa incident, and especially since the similar incidents last year, I've felt no pity for the ChiSox loyals. I know a lot of nice people who are fans of the team, and I know it's not the team's fault, but I still can't bring myself to root for them in the post season. But as for the Tribe, the Tigers, or the Twins, I wish them all the best in the playoffs, and always have. Just beat the Yankees.

I like ONE thing about the Chi Sox: Ozzie Guillen. What a worthless collection of high-priced talent he has there!

Almost as bad as the Los Angeles tradition. ;)

It seems like the Mariners may be able to avoid the 100 loss mark, as the teams leading the West all seem rather uninspired at the moment.
