A-Rod just became (last night) the 1st player to have 9 seasons of 100+ runs scored, in a row, since me. Who am I?

Hank Aaron did it from 1955 to 1967.

In the AL, Mickey Mantle did it from 1953 to 1961.

Mantle was the answer we were looking for! Good job.

Would it be fair to say such a feat has a lot to do with just staying healthy?

It says even more about The Mick's incredible .433 OBP during that period. That's only 94 points above the league average for that period. No player in that time period with at least 3000 AB's had a higher OBP.

Wow.
And, in defense of A-Rod, it is incredible that he did this, given the time between him and the last guy.

No, no, I didn't mean to imply that it was easy to do.

Mantle was the answer we were looking for! Good job. I'm confused. If Aaron did it after Mantle then why is Mantle the answer you were looking for? It seems to me that from 1959 to 1967 Aaron would qualify as being the last player before A-Rod to score 100+ in 9 consecutive seasons.
Edit: Never mind, I just noticed the title of the thread contained "in the AL"
