Jeanne Zelasko has got to go. Oh man. Let Kevin Kennedy run the show.
I hate FOX.

and the award for "Dumbest All-Star player entrance" goes to ... Fox Sports.
I had twenty on Manny ending his career with an injury falling down those dumb stairs.
Next year, in an effort to spice things up, FOX will shoot the players out of a cannon into a giant net.

The pregame was pretty bad. That's for sure. Although, Ali looked better than I thought he would.

Interesting game.
FOX came close to butchering it.
Agreed on JZ. A few years back, she had promise. Now, she's terrible.
The whole FOX coverage was terrible. Bad sound mixing. Camera freezes.
I really wish NBC would get back into the baseball game.
Nice to see Clemens get undressed in a game clearly centered on him - the FOX pregame crap, the annoying stoppage of the game to give him the award no one ever hears about...........
I see that the apple does not fall far from the swelled head tree. Schilling's kid, standing in front of the dugout, to give high-5's to the starters announced. Who the hell is he? There were probably a dozen kids of players there for the AL. Yet, we only saw Schilling's kid on the field.
Poor Pudge. The Yanni thing was embarrassing.
Good job by both MGRs to get everyone in the game.
Jeter, 7 for 10 lifetime, in ASGs. That's sick.

Also, one more dig at FOX.
The Blues Brothers? That's the intro idea? Geez-us. That movie is like 20 years old for cryin' out loud.

Just remembered.........the fat Taco Bell guy.
Did he practice at all? Shocked that he got 5 in. One looked like it deflected through.

The fact that the movie is 20 years old isn't a big deal, but the Blues Brothers is a CHICAGO thing. It would have worked MUCH better for a game at Wrigley. Especially since Elwood gives his address as 1060 West Addison.
I still think they should have had some classic Texas music for the anthem. Imagine ZZ Top belting it out!

Well, if they wanted a Houston themed movie, they would have to go with Brewster McCloud.
What was that little animated thing that was giving baseball tips? I'm not sure what Fox's target audience was with that crap. I'm not sure I WANT to know what their target audience was.
Nice game. Man, CC does NOT stand for "Calorie Counter". He is a fat tub of goo. He's also a fine pitcher, but you'd want to keep him on short contracts. He got Barry out anyway.
Agreed -- Jeter was made for the spotlight.

Bteween CC, Belliard, etc. The Tribe is showing the world how not to wear a BB uni, IMHO.
The talking baseball thing, well, it's sad that FOX brought that back for another year. It's insulting - even for kids.

I was impressed with the AL hitters and the AL fielders and Derek Jeter's hustle. I was appalled by Kent and Sosa's glove (boot?) work

If Kent is that bad during the regular season, it helps explain the 'Stros record this year.

FOX's baseball coverage is so terrible that I could only manage to watch a couple of innings at atime before needing to go throw up. If I was President I would sign an executive order stripping them of any future rights to cover baseball games. JZ, TM, JB, show them all the door.
The game had some nice moments. The Clemens performance brought smiles to many in the northeast I suspect....... The AL seemed to actually be playing the game, the NL team often looked glad to be there.
I missed the first Yanni thing, but then caught a slam of it later. Too funny.

Funny article. Still, if Roger had a right fielder they were 3 up, 3 down
