Silly Question

[Crash Course]

When was the last time you held an actual baseball in your hand? Not something like a baseball, like a dog toy, or a plastic replica - - an actual leather baseball.

Yesterday.

I am getting ready to move. I have all the balls I have caught, some from games I have played , some have autographs. It gave me a chill holding these. Over 20 years of my life (some of the best years) all wrapped up in a box.


Odd you ask that question today.

I asked because I was tossing a ball around in the air about an hour before I made the post.

My 2 year old daughter likes to walk aorund the house carrying an official MLB baseball that I gave her when she was just a few months old. We play with it just about everyday now, for the past few weeks.

It had been 5 or 6 years for me until this past weekend. Went up to Glacier National Park with my brother and his family, and we tossed around the horsehide for awhile...felt pretty good.

Yesterday. I can't believe I still throw so poorly. I think my five year old throws better then me.

The last time I cleaned the apartment. I have a baseball that seems to float around, and I find it in a different spot each time I clean.

Now... playing catch with a real baseball is a different story. But, just picking up one... ah...
