Just for fun, who do you share a birthdate with who has played major league baseball.

Not just a birthday, but the birthday and year.

Mine are Mark Petkovsek, Scott Hemond and David Howard. How exciting.:(

Though you always like the C/2B/3B combo Hemond was able to pull off!

Merry Christmas, SmedIndy!

Nobody was born on my birthdate. Grover Cleveland Alexander was born on my birthday.

Here's a URL to look this info up, in case anybody doesn't know.

Chuck Finley and I have the same month, day and year. For those who don't know if they have the same with anyone - you can check it out at baseball-reference.com

I was born on the same date as future HOF pitchers Bronswell Patrick and Paul Shuey

As for my birthday of July 15, 1967 it stinks. The most noted historical player is Donn Clenendon, as for current players it is James Baldwin or Wilson Delgado, not exactly all-star material too say the least.

Anyone know a site where I can easily find minor league birthdates? The youngest player in major league history is still older than me, (so I really should be Le Petit Orange), so I actually can't answer the question yet. I can only say that Graig Nettles was born on my day, but 38 years before I was. :)
I did think I'd take the opportunity to tell SmedIndy that it's Chris Howard, the Red Sox pitcher, not David Howard, the most overhyped bad player of the 90's. :)

BTW, don't worry about the age factor. One of our top posters, Throwback, is about your age and he knows his game forward, backward, inside out, even writing fondly and authoritatively on 19th century players. He seemed to have taken a slight break but go back a few pages and see his posts.

Oops, Freehan is about 15 years older than me. I need to wake up earlier and read posts.Rick Anderson and Joe Price are the correct answers.

No one for me worth mentioning except Newk Newcombe. Of course a Flag Day birthday is worthwhile all by itself. How many of you know when Flag Day is?

Many moons ago, I had a friend who got married on Flag Day - - and his reception was held at a hall located on Flagg Place (S.I., NY). True - - - that's a good way to remember your anny - - pick a famous day.

I struck out on the exact date. Best player on the date is Willie McCovey.

Hmmmm, maybe we can do all-star teams of "born-on dating" or something.

Let me ask again, since everyone has much better success. How do you find out who was born on which date by searching by date born? On b-r.com, I can only search by place of birth, not date. Any takers?

This exact link. It's also in frivolities.

Chris Howard? That's even worse.

Last year the Cubs had two players (Coomer and Gordon) born on my birth day. Coomer was 1966 and Gordon was 1967. I would have hazed those guys in high school or college. Alas, they hazed me last year with their play (especially Coomer, that worthless so-and-so, but I digress).

Smed, thanks. I couldn't find it and felt like the odd man out here. Anyway, I happen to share a birthday w/Yank 3B coach Willie Randolph so I'm cool w/that.
