I was looking at some stuff on ESPN.com this AM.
Their boxscore for the Sox game last night said Pedro threw 119 pitches.
Did he really? (Not sure, but, I could swear it was less.)
On the "schedule" page, they have Donovan Osbourne pitching the Yankees home Opener.
I know that's not correct.

Don't they care about getting anything right over there?

They're usually pretty good about things, but I've noticed a few confusing errors and omissions on the player pages. They STILL don't have a scouting report for D.J. Carrasco, and Ken Harvey's abruptly switches into a Raul Ibanez report.

I've noticed it's a different editor now, and he probably doesn't have the handle on things David Schoenfield did.

Think that's bad? They've fudged up pages on Alex Gonzalez for like 3 years in a row. Alex S. still has a 2002 report on his page, and they only added that like in June of 2003 or something, while Alex has Alex S.'s 2003 profile. They ALWAYS do this. You would THINK that ESPN.com would learn to fix this sort of stuff by now.

Plus, they do not get the formatting right on half of the pages.

Someone's idea of a prank, maybe? It's correct now.

I've never been particularly fond of ESPN, but in the past few months my firewall has had serious issues with their site. I pretty much have to shut down the firewall and restart the browser to see anything ESPN, so I pretty much only do it when somebody sends me a link. I can't say I've missed it a whole lot.

They've still got the best baseball content, but their presentation is often terrible.
