John Smoltz

I watched the Tigers and Braves play yesterday at Disney. Smoltz pitched the 9th for the Braves, gave up two hits and no runs. His fastball topped out at 93 MPH and his control wasn't great but he seemed to be throwing easily enough

You just can't but wonder if the Braves be better off with Smoltz as a starter.

I'd like to see Smoltz starting too, but at his age he may no longer have the durability. You would think by now he'd be getting his control down, though.

After seeing him walk off in the post season at Wrigley, I'm just shocked he can touch 93.
