Did anyone make it down to Philly this morning? I didn't find out about the Vet going down until last night :(
I'm planning on heading down there within the next couple of weeks to get some pictures, and to (hopefully) pick up a couple of pieces of keepsake rubble

Only fitting....
I believe I heard that Greg Luzinski pushed the plunger to start the explosions.

They should have invited former Chicago Bear Wendell Davis, who ripped up the ACL on both knees on one play on one of the infamous Vet turf seams, and ruined a promising career.

Every time I hear of the Vet, I think about that Bears player, FWIW.

...pelting him with snowballs...what a terrible stadium, the hottest stadium Ive ever been in, it was a sauna, and ugly like Stalinist architecture from the 1950's eastern bloc...it made shea stdium look like an i.M .Pei design,by contrast...great great town, though, and i thought the fans when i went there were really quick and sharp, for what its worth
