Lemme guess, they were reinacting the Fenway bullpen incident and Spencer played the role of Jeff Nelson and the restaurant owner played the role of the Sox groundscrew?
Guys trying to make a team should be seen and not heard about, IMHO.

I'd like to know more about what happened - hard to be more vague than in that article.

If either of these guys makes the Met roster after this, the Mets aren't using their heads.

Seriously, I'd rather reserve judgement until more details come forth. Coulda been a legit beef

What happened? And if it were private citizens, would it matter? I can't judge without more details, and even then I don't feel that it would be fair.

I'd like to know more before judging too, but I have to admit that the involvement of Garcia puts a furrow in my brow. After watching him in the Fenway incident run out toward the bullpen - abandoning his position in the outfield - leap the wall, and get involved in someone else's fracas, I can't help but consider him the sort of guy who goes looking for fights.

Here's the story in my local paper -
Spencer and Garcia were drinking in a sports bar next to the pizza place. Garcia left, drunk, and started to take a wiz on the front of the pizza place. The owner came out, and there were punches thrown - not sure if it was Garcia, Spencer, or both.
Mets are ticked because, when the players first spoke of it, they said no punches were thrown.

This guy has got to relax a bit, he seems to be wound way to tight. Anyone who is this quick with the fists may have some issues to sort out.

Hopefully, some sense was knocked into Garcia during the course of the fight. He seems like a hothead.

Sounds like a case of he-said, he-said, and he-can't-remember.
2 things:
1) Athletes are always targets for garbage like this
2) Garcia needs to stop putting himself in situations where stuff like this can happen (unsolicited advice: use the restroom!)
