Somebody Help Me: JWM

This afternoon I dusted off my tapes from the 91 World Series to view my Twins when the team was in a far, far better place than today. I notices the Braves were wearing the initials JWM on their shoulder, anybody remember why?

I just went through THE BASEBALL TIMELINE for the tail end of 1990 and all of 1991 - - many, many "famous" baseball people died - - -but, none with those intials. Could have been someone in their front office?

Wasn't Jimy Williams with Atlanta then? What about Jimy Williams mother? OK did not say it was a good guess.

The JWM was in honor of John Mullen, a former Braves GM who dies during spring training in 1991. If you watched the NLCS that year, the Pirates also honored a staffer as they wore a black and gold "H" on their sleeve in honor of their equipment manager who dies during the season (his name was John Hallahan and he had been with the Pirates for 50 years).
