You Can Look It Up

Just read a new column on BP titles "You Can Look It Up" by Steve Goldman the erstwhile author behind the Pinstripe Bible. All I can say is "WOW, this is good stuff". It is a very history related column and really captures the meaning of the game.

While this first column didnt really say much, it seemed clear that he knew what he was doing and where he wanted to go. It'll be an excellent addition to BP, esp. if they keep it free!

Excellent addition, yes ....

Goldman is one of few guys that can actually make me read something about baseball history. It's not that it's not interesting, it's just not interesting enough to make me look at most of the sepia-toned "better in the old days" crap.
