this, if it goes thru, will be huge.

Wonder how it will effect ABC and ESPN?

Something about this doesn't seem right. Wouldn't they then be able to extort higher rights prices from other cable and satellite providers for all of Disney's programming (Disney, ESPN, ABC, and whatever else they have) or withhold them altogether to make viewers switch to Comcast ???

At least I haven't ponied up huge bucks for one of those HDTVs yet. Who knows what I'll be able to watch in the future and for how much ???

I do worry about what it means to cable subscribers, but it's a logical move by Comcast. They've already got a huge subscriber base, and it's a no-brainer that they'll act as a distributor for Disney product.

If you want to compete with entities like Viacom, you have to keep growing. Hopefully, consumers don't suffer for it.
