Its amazing what the minor league baseball team's marketing folks will do to generate buzz and revenues. I was surfing around ebay when I found this:

Actually, this sounds like a very good idea. The fact it's on eBay causes natural cynicism, especially since someone from other than "West Tenn" (nice way of Bush Leaguing the name) can purchase it, but I like the idea.
However, selling sponsorship doesn't always work. I read about a Busch Series team selling ad space on a car and getting no offers, in spite of the fact that all things NASCAR have a reportedly huge fanbase. Hopefully, this won't happen here.

That's not what that means.
The minimum opening bid is $750. But, there is also a reserve. The reserve means that if a certain amount, determined by the seller and hidden to the public, isn't met, then even the winning bid doesn't get it.
You can't have a reserve that is just the same as the opening minimum bid.
So, we don't know exactly how much the team really wants as the minimum for the ad space.

If I had the energy I'd call and see what the real rate is - most people don't know what a 'reserve' is, but the $750 for an opening bid means that probably if we could get 10 NDFer's with a c-note and a willingness to throw in the vig (er...oh yeah, this isn't gambling, it's auctioning)...NDF would be the official discussion board of Western Tennessee...and vice versa....or verse vica.....
