Several pairs of teammates (AL and NL only) have combined to score more than 300 runs in a single season. Can you name them, along with their team and the year they accomplished the feat?

Good job, ty. Ruth and Peckinpaugh are one, combining for 305 runs in 1921.

Both correct, as is your other Ruth-Gehrig combo. They're the most frequent pair in this group.

Still several to go.

Good job - Hamilton and Delahanty have the record for teammates, with 339.

of course, they did it again in 1895

Right again.

There's one other combo that I believe did it twice, too.

you can make several combos out of the 1894 Orioles: Willie Keeler (165), Joe Kelly (165), John McGraw (156), Dan Brouthers (137)

In 1895, there was a repeat of the Keeler (162) - Kelly (148) combo, as well as new combos with Hughie Jennings (159)

Keeler (153) - Kelly (148) would just barely top the 300 mark in 1896

Those are all correct - I took the highest combo for each year, so it was Keeler-Kelly in 1894, and Keeler-Jennings the next season.

The Duffy-Lowe answer combo is also right, so I think that only leaves a couple more.

by your definition, the 1930 Cubs would have Kiki Cuyler and Woody English. Although Cuyler + Hack Wilson would also qualify.

Good job, gyb. You nailed the last two.

I had a feeling after your first answer that you were going to end up getting all of them!

most of them ended up happening around the same time.....
