New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner fainted Saturday at a memorial service for football great Otto Graham but was alert by the time medics arrived, an emergency official said.
"Right now, he's fine," Paul Dezzi of the Sarasota County Fire Department told The Associated Press.
"He fainted. When we arrived, he was alert and oriented. He was very talkative in the ambulance," he said.
The 73-year-old Steinbrenner was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was given oxygen, an electrocardiogram and intravenous fluids in the ambulance, Dezzi said.
Based on the preliminary tests, "Everything showed up fine," Dezzi said.
A huge luxury tax and revenue sharing bill will do that do you when you're 73.............

I'm sure he'll find someone to blame it on.

...compassion overflows for an overweight bullying billionaire ...a tough week? Please, guys.A tough week is losing your job, or your child being ill,or getting evited or being homeless. This one doesnt rank...And it doesnt matter which politican or owner or ceo or actor or musician we're talking about...

Not a big fan of George's leadership style. However, i was pleasantly surprised to find out he was a longtime friend of Otto Graham. Any friend of Otto's can't be all bad.

Yeah, Steinbrenner was a big fan of Otto's. I know he's a big one because his rememberance of Graham got it's own article.
I actually wish him well, because baseball is less interesting this time of year when the Boss isn't making news.

Or a tough week could happen when you're attending the funeral or memorial service of a longtime friend. Does that qualify?

It's never good to pass out, regardless of the circumstances. The Boss only made a gazillion dollars this year so it has not been tough year business wise. The loss of a friend is always stressing.

Speaking for myself, no offense taken on my part.
Just think, George will REALLY be revved up after this (perhaps seeing his mortality?) and will do tons of things to horrify thousands/millions of fans.
