I made a couple posts before somebody suggested I introduce myself here. I think this separate forum for icebreakers is a good idea.
Anyway, I was born in Effingham, Illinois, which is a small town that's fairly evenly split between Cardinals and Cubs fans. Being that my family is from St. Louis, I sided with them. In my childhood, I don't think I ever went to more than one game in a year, but now that I've finished school and am living in St. Louis, I go to 20-25 games a year. I love baseball for so many reasons, I don't think I could list them.
I wouldn't consider myself a sabermetrician (not even sure of the definition of that word), but I love poring over stats and comparing different players or different seasons/splits by the same player.
Oh and I found out about this site via Lee Sinnins' ATM Reports, which I heard about from Redbird Nation (http://redbirdnation.blogspot.com), a self-proclaimed "Cardinals Obsession" site run by a handful of diehard Cards fans.
