reportedly, Doris from Rego Park is now deceased. Someone from work said they heard it on WFAN.

The WFAN Family was deeply saddened Monday to learn that longtime listener, caller and avid Mets FAN Doris Bauer, better known as "Doris from Rego Park," passed away from complications to Breast and Lung Cancer. Over the years, Doris has become part of the tapestry of WFAN and a friend to many of the on-air hosts and staff. Her loyalty to this station and her beloved Mets was unmatched. The passion with which she shared her knowledge and insight was constant reminder of what Baseball meant to her, even in her last days. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and all of the FANS who tuned in to hear her over the years. Doris was 58 and was the daughter of a holocaust Survivor.
Doris also suffered from Neurofibromatosis and her family has asked that all donations be mailed to:
