Anyone frequenting/using iTunes? What have you purchased that you couldn't live without? They make it so easy to spend .99 cents...again and again! Just curious.

It's so funny you would start this thread. I just downloaded iTunes Saturday. Since I just got it, I haven't had much time to play with it yet, but I did search for a song I've had a hard time finding and found it right away. I was really excited about that and I'm sure I'll be downloading from it quite a bit. It's really cool.

I never was a huge fan of the Napster style free music downloads. A lot of time wasted trying to find a good copy of the song and it took a long time to download.

iTunes definitely is easy to find and get the the songs you want. My only complaint is that Apple has tied itself to their own IPod format for downloads. Getting them onto other types of MP3 players requires extra steps.

I've been using it for a little over a week now. I have bought two separate albums which I was easily able to burn onto CD's. There has been some music that I have been looking for that are not on the store. They do not have any indie labels available as of yet. I am hoping that Apple will strike a deal with the indies. I do have to watch out or I will spend all my free cash on music.

I love the software features. The organization and playlist features are exteremly powerful. I was able to arrange many of the albums I have on my hard drives into playlists quickly and easily. I had been using Winamp for 4 years. I dropped it like a hot rock once I installed iTunes.

Apple did sign a contract with the Indie labels. I believe that is the next thing they are working on after the Windows launch.

The further I use itunes the more I am disappointed. It is very cumbersome to transfer songs from iTunes to any other type of player besides an iPod. I have to go to CD first then load the song back to my hard drive and then onto my minidisc player.

I have had some trouble with songs not making it all the way through this process too. And I haven't figured out why.

I haven't tried iTunes yet, mainly because I've been satisfied with the new (legal) Napster. $0.99 a song or $9.95 an album. Works directly with my Rio.

They've had everything I've looked for to date (which isn't much).

I'm a pretty big music fan, and, to this day, I cannot get into the MP3, download thing. Never have done it. No sure why. Probably just because I am old.

I haven't tried it yet, because I already downloaded almost every song imaginable I could think of, but I suspect at some point I will try the new Napster if I need something.....
