Some coaches talk about making the student part of student-athlete important. Maryland football coach Ralph Fridgen has done something about it.

When the players line up for meals, they line up in order by GPA.

That could get your attention.

I've seen the team spreads. There's plenty for everybody, even Ol' Senator "zero point zero" Blutarsky at the back of the line.

Such a policy might really irritate the good players. Could turnoff the blue chip recruits.
