Jim Tressel is amazingly tolerant, most of the time. His starting QB got drunk before the biggest game of his life and Tress got him needed help and kept him on the team, because that's what a good father would do for a troubled son, and Tress is nothing if not a good father to his players, if the reciprocate and admit they need help.
But if you lie to him, if you ignore him, if you disregard his advice, then hide behind lawyers and friends; if you think you're bigger than the team, bigger than the school, bigger than the NCAA, bigger than the NFL -- and you STILL lie and hide behind your buddies, even when confronted with the facts -- Tressel will let you go.
IMO, Clarett has played his last game at OSU, perhaps his last game of college football, maybe his last game of ANY organized football.
Good riddance.
I hope ESPN will drop this "issue" and concentrate on what OSU HAS, not what they DON'T have, when they win big this season.
