I was watching Billy Connors recently discuss the off day routine of Jose Contreras - he said it was the same as Pettitte and Clemens - the day after a start is "long toss," the next day is an off day, followed by throwing on the side (on day 3), and the day before the start is something they call "Williamsport" (pitching at a shorter distance).
Is this consistent with what other starters do?
