In the last 6 hours or so, at least 30 "guests" with unique IP addresses have viewed this thread:

Anyone have any idea as to why anyone who want to read this thread, today, much less why so many would be pulling it up?
Bizarro, no?

I read the thread because it came up in the list of threads with unread messages since my last visit. Since I replied here, the thread will show up my next visit, too. It's a cycle :-)

But.........you'll always show up as "RichG" on my admin view - - not, just "guest" as these guys are coming across. It's strange.

I think they found it like me because of a "Rare play" poll on cnnsi.com. The question was "What rare play would you most like to see." One answer was an Eephus pitch strikeout. I did a search on yahoo for Eephus pitch, and that thread came up as the second result. See for yourself!

It seems like the internet seach engines are doing their jobs. There are a lot of subjects that you google that come up with Netshrine somewhere in the search.

Somewhat funny/annoying when I'm searching for something baseball related and the engines point me back to my own page.
It happens a lot, actually.
More funny than annoying. Sometimes really funny.
