For me, it's the Plymouth Valiant. I had a couple of late 60s Valiants because some friends said the Slant 6 engine was the best. Both Valiants burned oil, and the accelerator pedal on one of them got stuck on a city street, which made it go 85 mph. Scary! I finally turned it off, but not before it scared the heck out of me.
My Dad had an old Dodge once, which dropped its crankcase on Route 66 outside of Holbrook, Arizona while we were on a family trip. We were stuck there for a week waiting for a new engine. Holbrook is one of THE most boring places in America, btw. We spent the whole week looking at old B movies on the tube, and eating bad Chinese food.
I've never bought a Chysler product since. What's the worst car you've had?

This seems to be a stretch for entertainment... oh... wait... would entertainment qualify as all the laughs, insults and general grief that one receives from their friends for owning a "worst" car? Well, in that case, I guess it works.

The AMC Gremlin was a piece of junk

I used to think that the AMC Pacer was possibly THE worst and one of the ugliest cars ever. Remember the windows all around? It was like driving in a fishbowl. Anyone who owned one might just as well put a "LOOK AT ME, I'M WITH STUPID" bumper sticker on it. :D

I had a Red 1975 Volkswagon Rabbit (It was 1989) that had a penchant for not starting in cold weather. That's a serious drawback in Michigan.

Mine was a little more recent, but troublesome all the same! I had a 1987 Chevy Corsica that you had to scrape/defrost on the inside. This model was so plagued with sealing problems around the windows, that it must be scraped from the inside. It was quite a feat to sit/lay in the backseat of the car and scrape away!

Speaking of AMC, I had a 1979 Concord while in college. The car wouldn't start if it was cold (40s or 50s) and rainy. Snow was OK, or a warmer rain, but something about cold and damp rendered it useless.

my current car is the bus - noisy, sometimes crowded, and plenty of drunks in the late hours

Suzuki Samurai......it started falling apart the minute I left the lot.
Worst car I almost owned was the Dodge Dart my wife had before she was my wife. No carpet. No radio. Pull straps on the door. Never ran. I swear the only reason she hooked up with me was because she was impressed by my POS '73 (acres of hood) Charger with FM converter and naked speakers laying on the back dash. :)
Of course, then I got 'sensible' and got a (cringe) Chevette, but by then she was stuck with me.
